70% of Men, 18% of Women, and 50% of Pastors Are Struggling in This Area

70% of Men, 18% of Women, and 50% of Pastors Are Struggling in This Area

By Pastor Dickson Wasake  ·  Senior Pastor, OurTestimony.org

The topic is pornography — which is an extension of sexual immorality. This matter is going to get worse because of artificial intelligence, so let us begin with some statistics from the United States:

90% of children aged 8–16 have viewed pornography.

70% of men aged 18–34 visit a pornography site at least once a month.

17% of women struggle with pornography addiction.

50% of pastors regularly look at pornography.

And it is going to get worse. AI-generated pornography — deepfakes and AI "models" — is booming. One such AI model reportedly makes $30,000 a month from men who support her, want to marry her, and receive intimate images from her in 30 languages.

The Lord is saying: put away your idols. And this extends to physical sexual immorality — those who have "side dishes," those practising homosexuality, and all manner of sexual sin — including those who are cohabiting — while calling Jesus their Lord.

Brothers and sisters, these things should not be so. Even if you are faithful to one person but you are not married to them, that too is sexual immorality by the standard of Scripture.

So What Should You Do?

Here are practical steps — choose what the Holy Spirit leads you toward:

1.  Fast. Fasting teaches self-control. Control of food leads to control over other fleshly urges.

2.  Run away. So many fall into sexual temptation because they are in the wrong place at the wrong time. It is not weakness to run away — it is wisdom. Why go to environments that increase your risk?

3.  Change your company. Bad company ruins good morals. If your friends are exchanging graphic content on WhatsApp or celebrating infidelity, move away from that circle.

4.  Get an accountability partner. Lift one another's burdens. Share the struggle with someone you trust and work through it together.

5.  Get married rather than burn. The Scriptures allow for this. If you are burning with passion, do not delay finding the right person.

6.  Purpose in your mind to stop. Many simply do not have the will. The forbidden fruit is sweet, yes — but your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. God who bought you is jealous.

The Holy One will not tolerate idols indefinitely. If we reject his warnings, he will eventually give us over to our sins — and Satan will do what he does best: steal, kill, and destroy.

If you have questions on this subject, please reach out. I am not here to condemn anyone. Jesus did not condemn. My role is to love and to point you to the one who delivers from everything.

Blessings and love. Maranatha!
