Learning from Mary's humility

This message is extracted from the book "how to pray dangerous prayers." You can get the book for free when you subscribe to the Prayer army here.

Mary the mother of Jesus was dangerous in prayer. How do I know this?  When someone spends time with God, the anointing of the Lord comes upon them and that is why for example when Moses was with God fasting for 40 days and nights, when he returned to the Israelites, his face was shining and he had to put a veil on his face (Exodus 34: 29-35).

Back to Mary. Mary was so dangerous and anointed of God that when she went to meet her relative Elizabeth, after the angel Gabriel spoke with her about Jesus' birth, just her greeting caused Elizabeth to be filled with the Spirit. I repeat, JUST HER GREETING caused Elizabeth's baby (John the Baptist) to leap for joy and then Elizabeth was filled with the Spirit! This story is in Luke 1: 39 -45. After Mary encountered Elizabeth, she prayed a prayer, also called a song/poem called the Magnificat. Read it in Luke 1: 46-55 as your homework.

Why was this prayer so dangerous?

This prayer is dangerous because of Mary's humility. In so many places of that prayer, words related to humility appear at least 4 times, for example:

he has been mindful
of the humble state of his servant.

he has scattered those who are proud in their inmost thoughts.

Prayer tip from Mary's example: Dangerous prayers can only be prayed by humble people who have learned to be in God's presence and so proud people can never receive from God the anointing to pray dangerous prayers because God hates pride and he says for example:

"See, I am against you, you arrogant one, declares the Lord, the Lord Almighty, for your day has come, the time for you to be punished." Jeremiah 50: 31 NIV

If you therefore want God to hear you, learn to practice humility.  To learn humility, do some of the following: do acts of service, fast, read the Bible regularly, kneel or fall on your face while paying.
