Rehoboth: How to persevere for what belongs to you.

There is a beautiful story about Isaac, the son of Abraham in Genesis 26. Whenever he tried to dig what BELONGED to him, that is wells that were his inheritance from his father Abraham, his enemies the Philistines caught up with him...  and fought with him about them. But he persevered and the scriptures say this when things eventually changed:

"And he removed from thence, and digged another well; and for that they strove not: and he called the name of it Rehoboth; and he said, For now the LORD hath made room for us, and we shall be fruitful in the land." Genesis 26:22 KJV

Just because something belongs to you, doesn't mean you will always get it on a silver platter - sometimes the enemy will withstand you and so you need to continue to persevere until you reach the place where God gives you room - Rehoboth!

In the place of room, he will make you fruitful, may he therefore give you room so you can handle all the blessings he will pour, the 100 fold blessing to compensate you for all your trouble!

As a general lesson, therefore when you sense that your enemies are no longer fighting you or striving with you; that's the place where God has given you room or rest, so in that place don't forget to keep a record of this victory (equivalent to raising an altar to God).

I have a spiritual journal which I keep on my phone to keep track of what God has done for me over the years so similarly, in that place of your spiritual record, that is your "digital altar" raise it up and give thanks to God!

Prayer: Oh Lord our God, we thank you for Rehoboth - for room, for wide open spaces that you have given us, even when our enemies strive against us! We thank you for what you are doing for those who are being attacked by the enemy because they are doing the right thing, protect them by your name you have given us as strong tower and help them to endure until you bring them to their open room and make them fruitful in the presence of their enemies, those same enemies who will eventually be forced to make peace with them, on account of seeing your hand of blessing on them! In your name Jesus I have prayed. Amen!
