How a simple door became a testimony of God's intervention

This is a testimony of how God takes care of his servant, even in small unexpected ways.

One Saturday, my brother-in-law, a tradesman - think, carpenter like Jesus, was helping us install a few items in the house and this included buying a door, different types of wood and dry wall (used to build houses).

We got the items we needed from a store called Menards. You however must get the wood items from a wood shed. After paying for them, you go the shed, pick the item, put it at the back of your pick-up truck and then exit after a check to ensure you did not pick different items from the order. After we loaded the truck, we realised we had bought more items than we really needed for the work, so we decided to return the extra items to customer care in the main store. So, we exited the wood shed and returned to the main store.

Customer care told us we had to return to the wood shed and return the extra wood ourselves, rather than leaving it at customer care, as is often the case.

At this point my brother-in-law was tired as we had taken a while at the store. He then said to me: "Man you are bad luck!" I replied: "No, I'm always good luck, in fact I am quite blessed." He knows I am a pastor - but he was just about to see how God turns up for his servants.

Well, we returned to the wood shed to return the extra items and would not you believe it... we found our door! When we were loading the wood and drywall items in the back of the truck, my brother-in-law had taken the door off the truck and put it on the side so it did not get damaged but when we reloaded and drove off, being both tired, we never noticed that the door was not on the truck!

The Lord Jesus used the extra lengthy return process of customer care, to get us to go back to wood shed and find our door! To think that we would have driven off, reached home, which was quite a distance away and found no door and then had to return to the store. How would we have then proven the item was ours if it had perhaps already been returned to stock? We might have had to buy another door!

My brother-in-law had no further words when I told him Jesus had brought us back to the door!

In life you are going to find millions of such miracles that God does for those who love him and have taken his name for themselves. So, keep your hope up, remain alert and sober for you are just a door away (pun intended) from your next miracle!

I bless the Lord for taking care of me in an unexpected way. Amen!
